Club Doubles Champs Results 2025

Charnwood Tennis club held their annual men's and ladies’ doubles Club Championships on Sunday 31 August at their Nanpantan Sports Ground base.
The successful day was extremely well-attended, featuring ten men's pairings and eleven ladies' pairings, playing matches on both the club’s savannah and clay courts.
The morning featured the round robin group stages, followed by an interval and then the afternoon knockout stages, to eventually determine the Club Championships and Plate winners.
The victors in the men's club championship were James Holt and Steve Mears who defeated James Ison and Dave Bond in the final by 8-4.
The men's plate was won by Nick Barham and Paul Maguire.
Meanwhile, the ladies’ club championship was won by Isi Cockrell and Caroline Rowe who defeated Claire Bottom and Hannah Kendrick-Holmes by 8-2 in the final.
The winners in the ladies’ plate were Gina Cooper and Nettie Ellis.
Charnwood Tennis Club are embedded in their local community and were delighted to raise the tremendous sum of just under £300 for Rainbows from fundraising events throughout an excellent day.
